Pastor Steve's Story

Steve Bainbridge is the lead teaching elder (pastor) at The Mill Christian Fellowship and serves on the leadership board at the church.

Since 2003, Steve has served as a street evangelist and conference speaker, which, when scheduling allows, continues until this day.  In 2006, he was a home-staffed missionary aiding national church planters in South East Asia. After completing his degree majoring in theology in 2015, Steve retired from his law enforcement position to pastor a small church in Northern Ontario, where he was examined and ordained into pastoral ministry in 2016. Since the early days of ministry, the focus on his ministry has been “Behold Your God.”

In 2020, Steve started to volunteer with Ethnos Canada (Formerly New Tribes Mission) by raising awareness here in Canada of God’s great work through Bible Translation and field mission workers. He continues to be the primary teacher on Sunday mornings, and regardless if it is a church setting or a conference setting, the message is the same; for a person to joyfully proclaim Christ, they must first joyfully adore him. By handling the Scriptures well, one becomes grounded, and their understanding of the word of God increases such joy and true worship.

Steve and his wife Christine live in the Greater Toronto area and have four children. During his downtime, he enjoys quiet hikes, fishing and studying military history.
