Each day, 150,000 people die. It is hard to be emotional over this when the face, names, lives of those individuals are disconnected from us personally. Yet, every day, in our community and around the globe men, women and children die without hearing the Gospel. People running like a hamster in the wheel trying to quench a thirst only Christ can quench. Jesus says,
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”
Though this is true, every day, people who have been created in God’s image run to drugs, alcohol, sex, the next career, the new car, moving from town to town trying to satisfy a thirst that can never be quenched. The question is, does God care? Does God care about the suffering, the lost, the broken or the condemned? Yes, he does!
Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The command is important. Why? Because, Scripture says, “I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd”. (John 10:16). He cares so much, that he has instructed the local church has an evangelist to spread the message of good news to a lost and dying world (Ehp 4:11-16). God does care, and he has called us to care. Here is the question, do we? The Mill Christian Fellowship is stepping out in faith and will be bringing on a permanent Evangelist/Mission Coordinator to ensure we are not only engaged in mission work over seas but we are here in our community spreading the good news of the Gospel. Training and equipping the church to return to her mandate to be on the highways and byways proclaiming “Jesus Saves”. Will you join us? We are asking you prayerfully consider supporting this endeavor financially. You can make a one time donation, or a reoccurring donation by following this link. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
